Our Mission

Be a leader in the community for educating and providing evidence based treatments to help our clients build a life worth living. We have a variety of professionals with diverse backgrounds and specialties working with clients across the lifespan with a wide range of issues and it is our goal to find the professional that is the right fit for you or your family.

Jerlinda Anderson, LPC

Jerlinda is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Play Therapy. She began her career working in an Adolescent Residential Treatment Center and then moved into working with a variety of populations in different settings to include LGBT youth, pregnant and parenting women and families in crisis. She completed the Indiana Child Welfare Academy, DBT certificate and advanced DBT continuing education, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy certificate programs specific to working with Adults, Adolescents and Children and High Functioning Autism Clients. In addition she completed post-graduate work with the University of Mississippi in Play Therapy that included a supervised practicum in play therapy. She has a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Southern Illinois University, Master of Science in Community Psychology from Martin University and an Education Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University. 

Deirdre Scott-Jones, LCSW, MSW

Deirdre is a Licensed Clinical Social worker in Charlotte, NC who holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Winthrop University with more than a decade of experience. She is passionate about the development of physically and mentally healthy women, children and families. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered and Strengths Based Therapy along with motivational interviewing techniques when working with clients.

Patrice Wright, LCSW, MSW

Pat was born in Frankfurt, Germany but raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She received a Masters in Social Work and a Masters of Public Health from the University of South Carolina. She received her  Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Medical Anthropology from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Her areas of interest include women, people living with HIV/AIDS and human sexuality. She takes Samba classes and create arts and crafts in her spare time!

Ray Anderson, MPH, M.Ed

Ray Started his career working with youth who were impacted by substance abuse in a treatment center setting and corrections before moving on to working with LBGT men and women and substance abuse clients. He has over a decade of experience working with individuals experiencing some of life's hardest challenges which lead him to seek certification in Life Coaching. He uses a person centered and Cognitive Behavioral approach in helping those who seek to achieve their goals but feel stuck in place. He completed his Masters of Education with an emphasis in working with adults from the University of Missouri and his Masters in Public Health from A.T. Still University also located in Missouri. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice with a psychology minor from Southern Illinois University. 

Melissa Blakeney, FNP-BC, PMHNP

Melissa Blakeney is a family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over a decade of nursing experience. Melissa has attended and graduated from the College of Charleston, Medical University of South Carolina, University of South Carolina and Eastern Kentucky University. Currently, Melissa specializes in the mental health needs of her community. She is originally from South Carolina but practices primarily in Charlotte, North Carolina at one of the largest healthcare systems in the city. Melissa is a firm believer in preventative care and educating others on positive ways to cope with stress and negative situations. Outside of working, Melissa enjoys spending her free time with her 3-year-old twin daughters and husband along with other close family and friends. Melissa is hoping to continue to provide access to mental healthcare by serving those in need in South Carolina.
