Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, 13-14 sessions

Cost $120 per session may be covered by insurance

Goals:

  1. Learn about the effects of childhood trauma and skills to support recovery
  2. Practice relaxation techniques
  3. Identify and express intense emotions such as sadness, fear, or anger in a healthy way
  4. Self-soothe during times of emotional distress
  5. Correct inaccurate self-beliefs about the trauma (e.g., it’s my fault)
  6. Create and share a trauma narrative with the family
  7. Develop personal safety skills

Autplay program

Autplay Therapy is a play and behavioral therapeutic approach to working with children and parents affected by Autism, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD),  neurodevelopmental disorders, and developmental disabilities.


Cost $ 300 intake, $120 per play session may be covered by insurance


  1. Intake  - 4 sessions to include general intake with parents w/o child present, review of intake paperwork, autplay and inventories given. The second session is an observation of the child and trust building. Therapist will utilize Autplay child observation form, third session includes parent and child with therapist observing their interactions using child parent observation form. The last intake session time will be divided between parent and child with therapist to review treatment plan for the directive phase of therapy, skills to be addressed and progress
  2. Directive play intervention - at the beginning play therapy is explained with time divided between parent and child as explained during the intake phase, therapist will work with client and work with parent in providing the technique at home until goals are reached. Number of sessions determined by treatment plan.
  3. Termination - Therapist will utilize AutPlay treatment plan profile to assess if goals are met and if so the termination session will include around 3 sessions to include reviewing goals, meeting with the child to go over what was learned and the last session is a graduation party for the child and family or friends.

Mood Management For Youth Depression CBT program, 13-14 sessions

Cost $120 per session may be covered by insurance

Goals:

  1. Learn skills to over-come depression and be happier.
  2. Learn about depression (symptoms, causes and treatments).
  3. Learn mindfulness skills to relax and self-sooth when distressed.
  4. Identify personal goals and learn how to reach them.
  5. Identify and talk about your feelings.
  6. Learn how to be more involved in fun, healthy activities.
  7. Learn to have positive thinking and to maintain a positive attitude.
  8. Learn to communicate and resolve problems in a healthy way.
  9. Learn assertiveness skills.
  10. Improve your social skills and make positive friendships.
  11. Improve your communication and cooperation with your parents.
  12. Learn ways to cope with a crisis and urges to hurt your-self.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)


DBT is a comprehensive program of both group skills education and individual therapy. Our DBT program approach requires a one-year commitment for most clients. 


  1. Individual sessions and skills group each take place once a week and assign coordinated homework assignments. Participation in the comprehensive program includes access to coaching phone calls.
  2. Cost $120 per individual therapy session may be covered by insurance. Weekly group and coaching calls cost is separate from individual therapy sessions, $35.00 per week
  3. Group-only:To qualify for DBT skills education group only, clients must be working with their own therapists, have no current self-harm behaviors and no current suicidality (last 60 days). There are no coaching calls with this format. Must be referred by current therapist, primary care or other licensed mental health professional. Cost $ 25 per weekly group minimum commitment of 8 groups
  4. GROUP ONLY PARTICIPANTS - THERAPIST OR MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDER MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO INTAKE: DBT MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDER FORM

Mood Management For Youth Anxiety CBT program, 9-10 sessions

Cost $120 per session may be covered by insurance

Goals:

  1. Learn skills to over-come anxiety and be happier.
  2. Learn about anxiety (symptoms, causes and treatments).
  3. Learn mindfulness skills to relax and self-sooth when distressed.
  4. Cognitive processing
  5. Cognitive restructuring
  6. Learn how to be more involved in fun, healthy activities.
  7. Exposure therapy
  8. Learn to communicate and resolve problems in a healthy way.
  9. Learn assertiveness skills.
  10. Improve your social skills and make positive friendships

Individual Yoga

As a supplement to therapy, it can allow the body to process and integrate deep healing work. Yoga can help reduce anxiety, depression, and can help open and release muscular tension and pain. It helps people slow down, be in their bodies, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves.


* Please note that yoga is not a substitute for therapy,  yoga sessions are not therapy sessions

Medication Management


What to Expect


Initial visits generally last 45 minutes and are used to assess symptoms and determine the best course of treatment for the client.


Medication management only currently available to current program participants


Follow-up visits are generally 15-30 minutes in length and are used to assess the treatment plan and ensure that the client’s needs are being met.


Cost $ 200 intake, 100 ongoing visit - Cost may be covered by insurance

Comprehensive Psychoeducational Assessment

Psychoeducational evaluations are comprehensive assessments that care reveal the following: 

  1. Learning Disabilities (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia)
  2. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  3. Autism Spectrum Disorder - Further assessment needed (speech, OT, etc)
  4. Executive Functioning Deficits
  5. Anxiety
  6. Depression
  7. Other mental health or learning problems

Cost $ 150 intake, $ 850 assessment


 Evaluations are completed by Elizabeth Yegge, Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist, School Psychologist

Anger Management - 12 session adult and adolescent anger management class. Cost 30 dollars per class



All Counseling Services Provided By Licensed Professional Counselors

We have Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC''s) who are licensed in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. Licensed professional counselors are licensed mental health professionals with coursework in human growth and development, group counseling, psychopathology, diagnostics, counseling methods, and assessment. In addition LPC''s complete internship and practicum experiences followed by two years of post-graduate experience. Some licensed professional counselors specialize during their program and may also be addictions, rehabilitation, or school counselors. Licensed professional counselors may also have additional coursework in working with families or special populations. Several of our therapists hold additional licensure or certification such as addictions counselors, registered play therapist, certified clinical trauma professionals, TF-CBT trained, or certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. 


During your intake with an intake specialist, you will be matched to a therapist, service, or education program that can meet your needs. Education services and group programs are not therapy and will be facilitated by a master-level counseling student, master-level educators, or a master-level social worker. Bachelor level social workers may also co-facilitate education groups
